What age groups are Sunday School and Confirmation for? How do I enroll my child in Sunday School or Confirmation class? Are there Bible studies or small groups for adults? Do you have a youth group or college-aged group? Are there special faith milestones we celebrate, like first Bible or confirmation Sunday?

What age groups are Sunday School and Confirmation for?

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church offers Christian education programs tailored to different age groups:


Sunday School:

  • For children from age 3 through 5th grade.

  • Sunday School typically meets during the school year (September–May) and focuses on Bible stories, faith formation, and growing in God’s love in a fun, interactive setting.


Confirmation:

  • For youth in 6th–8th grade.

  • Confirmation is a more in-depth opportunity for young people to learn about Scripture, Lutheran beliefs, and their faith journey. It prepares them to affirm their faith and become adult members of the congregation.
